The taverna is managed and run personally Nikos Broybakis, who provides great hospitality and outstanding service. His wife, Ioanna, is the ‘masterchef.’ who, together with her assistants, provides outstanding Cretan cuisine ‘a la carte’ or to special order.Enjoy your meal while your children have fun in the new play area.
The taverna is open all day every day throughout the summer season.
Start the day with breakfast relaxing under the rippling shade of the grape vines – a full English breakfast is another specialty and will set you on the road for a day of walking, cycling, sightseeing, swimming or just relaxing on the beach which is just a short walk away.
There is a wide choice of traditional Cretan food available to enjoy all day. The starters are irresistible with new ones introduced from time to time – but do leave room for your main meal…
There is a wide choice of drinks to accompany your meal – highly recommended is the red wine (Kokkino krasi) produced by Nikos for Lefka’s own cellars every year. Or a variety of beers and soft drinks.To complete your meal, Nikos will undoubtedly offer you a tsikoudia, the traditional Cretan spirit, (also called ‘Tsipouro’ and ‘Rakis’) made from distilling the remains of the grape treading during wine-making, accompanied often by a small sweet dish. At the end of an evening, residents have to walk no further than up the stairs to their comfortable, well equipped rooms for a good nights sleep - in order to prepare and refresh for another day enjoying the Cretan beaches, outstanding landscape and friendly people.A sample menu is available for download.
